When the pilgrims journey to the Time Tombs on Hyperion, their fates are weighed and calculated across multiple Core locations, not solely from this Hive. Ultimately, the Core's defeat is achieved through the destruction of its farcaster network—aided by the Shrike's central role and coordinated actions by Ousters and humans—rather than the physical destruction of the Tech-Hive itself, whose infrastructure remains largely intact but inoperative after the network's collapse.
